Details
Under the Washington Public Records Act, §42.56 et seq., I am requesting an opportunity to inspect or obtain copies of public records related to recent discussions about the future of Terminal 46.
I would like copies of any and all emails, and notes, involving Port of Seattle employees, including, but not limited to: Ted Fick, Kurt Beckett, Mike Merritt, Lynda Sterk, David Freiboth, Lindsey Pulsipher, and all elected commissioners or commissioners-elect, from July of 2014 through December 10th, 2015 which include, or reference "Terminal 46". These emails and notes should also include any reference to current cargo volumes, and discussions with Hanjin. I'm also interested in documents which reference "Terminal 46" and potential conversion to a cruise ship terminal.
If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me. However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest and will contribute significantly to the public’s understanding of the Port of Seattle, a publicly-funded institution. This information is not being sought for commercial purposes.
The Washington Public Records Act requires a response to this request be made within five business days. If access to the records I am requesting will take longer than this amount of time, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records.
If you deny any or all of this request, please cite each specific exemption you feel justifies the refusal to release the information and notify me of the appeal procedures available to me under the law.
Thank you for considering my request.
